Website "Digital Photos. Cities of Russia." is not a commercial project and is supported and developed by one person. This man is me. My name is Sergey Nemanov. I live in Saint-Petersburg, but I try to tell not only about my native city on the pages of my site, but about other interesting places of Russia. Here you'll see Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, travel over the Polar circle and to the Northern villages. You'll be able to visit residences of the Russian emperors.
I am very grateful to my girlfriend Jenny for an English version of the site.
The site consists of some major sections (see the left part of the window):
- Photoalbums are series of pictures of various cities and cozy nature nooks. Albums are divided into separate parts devoted to some city or region of Russia. The menu is in the left part of the window. Each city is marked by a link and an icon in the menu. At present time the site contains about a hundred photoalbums dwelling upon palaces and museums of Petersburg, the Moscow Kremlin, museums of wooden art of Vitoslavlitsy and Kizhi, nature of Valaam island, emperor residences of Peterhof, Tsarskoe Selo, Pavlovsk, etc.
- Wallpapers are the best pictures that I gradually upload to the website, which are designed as the wallpapers for the desktop. In this section you'll find photos of various resolution - from 1024x768 to 1600x1200. I hope that you'll appreciate at least one of them.
- Getting on the page of the chosen album, at first you see small variants of the pictures (preview). To look through the contents of the album click on the links previous/next below. Clicking on the photograph you can see its natural size with a description in a separate window. You can leave your comments on the quality and topic of the picture. If you come across a photo without a description and you are sure about its contents, please, share your knowledge with me and other visitors of the site leaving your commentary to the photograph.
