Neva Bridges and Embankments

Saint Petersburg is known as the City of Bridges. It is natural, because the city is situated on more than 45 islands. Saint Petersburg wins the leading position in Russia in the number of bridges. Nowadays there are more than 340 of them (not taking into consideration those having local industrial and transport functions). There are 10 large bridges across the Neva River.
